Brown Sugar Body Scrub

Posted by: Kerrigan on: November 17, 2013

I’m just going to say it, I hate what winter does to my skin. Winter makes my skin dry, icky, and it looses its nice healthy glow. It does not look pretty, at all. So with this said my number one thing to get the dead skin off me, and and extra moister to my skin is a Sugar Scrub. After searching for a body scrub that I like, and is cheap to make, I found one. I’m just going to share my favorite brown sugar body scrub base.

Ingredients:
About 2 cups of brown sugar
Olive oil
Container with a lid

Directions:
Clean and dry the container and lid. Put brown sugar into the container. Drizzle olive oil onto brown sugar. Mix brown sugar and olive oil, until it looks like wet sand. If you mix the mixture and it looks to wet add more brown sugar. If its to dry add more olive oil. Once the mixture looks like wet sand, its ready to be used.

How to use:

  1. Take sugar scrub into shower.

  2. With the shower off take a handful of the scrub. Rub the sugar scrub in circle motions only on the arms, legs, hands, and feet.

  3. Repeat step 2 until you have used  a little more than half the scrub. Put the lid on the container.

  4. Wash off scrub during your shower.

  5. Shower as usually. And enjoy.

  6. Store rest of scrub at room temperature.

Notes:
The scrub will make bottom of shower slippery. be careful. Depending on your shampoo if you wash your hair after it can become a little oily.

This recipe makes a wonderful gift. Just put the scrub in a decorative Glass Containers with a cover.
