Infused Water

Posted by: Kerrigan on: January 23, 2012

At school we had a very insightful speaker. He was a dentist, and shared the not so wonderful ways of how soda is wrecking our teeth.

Now I could go into the gross details, but won’t. It opened my eyes to how my addicting Mountain Dew habit is wreaking my teeth. All  you have to do is go on google images and search “Mountain Dew mouth”, and you’ll see.

Then I decided I was going to drink the recommended 8 glass of water a day. That quickly got away from me, as we all know water isn’t very tasty.

Then I had an aha moment, what about flavored water. Making infused water is pretty simple.

  1. First you have to get your fruits, vegetables or herbs.
  2. Fill a pitcher of water 3/4 full of cold water.
  3. Cut your fruit or vegetables into thin slices.
  4. Add  your choice of fruit, vegetable, or herbs add to pitcher of water.
  5. Place pitcher of water into refrigerated over night  for 6-8 hours.
  6. Take out fruit, vegetables or herbs from water.
  7. Pour a tall glass with ice and enjoy!

PS. Feel free to mix and match, with the herbs, veggies, and fruits.

I purchased an Glass Water Bottle with Fruit Infuser for traveling.  It was the best purchase I have made to date. I bring it to and from school and for my car rides.
